Dan Truman, member of the heralded country group Diamond Rio, is pleased to announce the release of his first solo album, “Faith.” The release is being kicked off with a powerful music video featuring the album’s first track, an original arrangement of “O My Father (Oluwa Mi)” – AKA “My Redeemer” arranged by Dan and performed with his son, Chad.
As keyboardist for the multi-platinum band Diamond Rio, Dan Truman has enjoyed an incredible career full of smash hits, including “Meet In The Middle,” “One More Day,” “Beautiful Mess,” and “Love a Little Stronger.” He has also spent the last 10 years as a founding member of the Nashville Tribute Band, a group of Christian artists and song writers working successfully in Nashville, who started the band to produce music of their faith.
Dan always knew he would do a solo album of inspirational music. He soon found out, however, that his project, “Faith,” quickly turned into a much bigger experience than he imagined and resulted in a far different outcome then he could ever have expected.
When several music industry friends heard about Dan’s plans they enthusiastically agreed to join him in the creation of “Faith.” His fellow band members from The Nashville Tribute Band [Emmy Award Winner, Katherine Nelson; hit songwriter & producer, Jason Deere; multi-award winner, Ron Saltmarsh; Due West (Matt Lopez, Tim Gates, Brad Hull)]; famed recording artist, Alex Boyé, who has a special feature on the album singing in Yoruba, a Nigerian language; and, Dan’s Children (Ben, Chad, Casey & McKenzie Truman) all contributed their talents in the making of this video.
Director LaRee Waldron, of Firefly Film & Video, says she had envisioned filming two grand pianos next to Tony Grove Lake in Logan Canyon for this project and her heart was set on this location because she felt the grandeur of the lake matched the inspirational tone of “O My Father (Oluwa Mi).” So, with permits in hand, [in the middle of the government shutdown], schedules were arranged for everyone to gather together. In spite of the cold temperatures and scattered snow flurries, the magic happened within the magnificent setting of this mountain retreat.
We invite you to listen, and enjoy the reverence and majesty of their music; and encourage you to share this contemplative message with your friends and neighbors.
